It sounds like you're trying to disable compatibility mode on your Windows computer. The following Knowledge Base article offers the steps on how to do just that:



The following message might appear when you open iTunes:

'iTunes requires Windows 2000 or later. Please make sure compatibility mode is disabled in the Compatibility tab of the properties for iTunes.exe.'

To turn Windows compatibility mode off, follow the steps below:

  1. Quit iTunes.
    Windows XP: From the Start menu, choose Run. Then enter .
